Providing energy efficient lighting solutions has been central to the Sea Gull Lighting mission for decades. Now that LED has improved dramatically over the past several years, it is not only viable, but is truly the preferred option in countless applications. As such, Sea Gull is introducing several new LED products and integrating LED into a significant portion of existing products.
LED lighting offers tremendous benefits over traditional light sources such as energy efficiency and long life. Sea Gull’s LED solutions offer some unique features even beyond these core LED advantages |

Every Sea Gull LED fixture is dimmable. Most work best with electronic low voltage (ELV( dimmers, although many incandescent dimmers work effectively as well. When sizing the dimmer, we recommend you de-rate it by 30% to account for in-rush current (i.e. a standard 600 watt dimmer will have 420 watt capacity when used with these fixtures). |
|
Most of Sea Gull’s LED solutions boast 90+ Color Rendering Index (CRI is a measure on a scale of 100 of a light source’s capability to present colors as closely to how they appear in natural light), while all of them exceed 80 CRI. |

Many people enjoy the way their incandescent light bulbs ‘warm’ as they dim. We call this going from a higher color temperature (think crisper white) to a lower color temperature (think candle light). Traditionally, LED lights would retain the same color temperature as they dimmed. To reflect the ‘warm dimming that most people are comfortable with, Sea Gull is incorporating a warm-on-dim module throughout most of their LED offerings |

While historically LED has been considered ‘too expensive’ for many applications, Sea Gull is able to provide LED fixtures that are on par – and in some cases priced lower – than fluorescent. This is achieved by using driverless AC technology without compromising quality |
